Yesterday in worship we observed Good Shepherd Sunday, which is always the Fourth Sunday of Easter. Whether you realize it or not, everyone needs a shepherd, specifically the one named Jesus. His sacrificial love moves Him to lay down His life for helpless, defenseless sheep. From there He gives strength and guidance and direction that lead to unity, just as the Son has with the Father. What great things come about when you know, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” The only name in which salvation is found “soothes our sorrows, heals our wounds, and drives away our fear.”
The special attraction this week is the Movie on the Trail, featuring “The Croods 2”, this Friday at 8:00 pm.
Deaconess Sharon will lead another Drive-by Birthday Party this Thursday for Betty Rountree. If you would like to take part, meet at the church by 1 pm.
I encourage you to be regular and faithful in your Offerings in support of Hope’s ministry and mission: Here are three ways to do that:
Scripture readings for next Sunday—Acts 8:26-40; 1 John 4:1-11; John 15:1-8.
Birthdays—4/29 Ed Reinhardt, Alena Gorina; 4/30 Betty Rountree
Anniversaries—
“They will listen to My voice and there will be one flock, with one shepherd.” John 10
Be Bold!
